WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“Kaloyan joined Gameloft a few weeks before I did. He was a junior game designer then and worked on another project than me, but he was eager to learn and grow in this industry so he kept monitoring our work. A few months later we worked together on World at Arms and I got the chance to measure the potential he had. He always tried to learn something new, avidly reading all documentation he can find, researching better and faster ways to complete his tasks. And that always gave him some more time to go beyond what was asked of him. He has a strong appetite for perfectionism and a work well done. He feeds on challenges and constantly needs new ones.
We worked together on a major update of World At Arms where his help and dedication was invaluable. He helped identify and test some tricky edge cases with our QA department and did a good amount of implementation to make sure the feature is as polished as it can be. The results were great and our KPIs went up, and Kaloyan had his fair share of responsibilities for it. Later on he moved to be the Lead Game Designer on this project and had all my trust to build on what we already had.
There are few designers I can relate to that grew so quickly. I used to teach him some Office best practices and tricks, and by now he’s the one teaching me some new stuff now and then. That’s to show how fast he can master any software and test its limits.
Overall Kaloyan is a very valuable designer whose motivation, dedication and enthusiasm are out the charts. He’s a very good team player who seeks to get and give advice from very different stakeholders. He always wants to get his ideas challenged and is not afraid of suggestions and feedback. He also knows how to breakdown features and organize the work from the conception to the final testing and has a deep understanding of the technical aspects of game creation. This makes him a great Lead.”
